Amplify the Good: Molina Strengthening Maternal Care Through Community Investment
At the Illinois Life and Health Insurance Council, Amplify the Good is more than a phrase. It is a Council honor that shines a light on the meaningful, often unseen ways our member companies invest in the health and strength of communities across Illinois.
This quarter, we are proud to highlight Molina Healthcare and The MolinaCares Accord for their $55,000 grant to the Springfield Urban League’s EmpowerHER: Uplift Black Mothers Program.
This initiative is rooted in something powerful and practical: meeting mothers where they are and walking with them through pregnancy and postpartum care. The grant supports services that truly matter, including doula care, breastfeeding education, community baby showers, and workshops that equip mothers with knowledge and confidence. These are not just programs. They are lifelines that help reduce fear, strengthen self-advocacy, and build healthier outcomes for both moms and babies.
By investing in community-based care and education, Molina is helping close gaps in maternal health and ensuring more Illinois families have access to the support they deserve.
This is exactly what Amplify the Good is meant to celebrate. Thoughtful action. Local impact. A commitment to care that extends beyond coverage and into the everyday lives of Illinois families.
We are honored to recognize Molina Healthcare as a member of the Council and proud to amplify the good they are doing in Springfield and beyond.
